I wasn't really gone *that* long, but I felt really disconnected to everything when I got back from my trip Wednesday night. I basically just spent the past 4 days trying to get back to this time zone, my normal routine, work and my apartment. I think I have a handle on what I need to do at work for the next few days. My apartment seems under control. I have a shopping list and a plan to prepare to my parents' visit. I know there are going to be some issues, but maybe if I just accept that the next week and a half of planning will be less stressful. I'm hoping to have everything pretty much set so that I can go to Pitchfork this coming weekend!

This is where I grew up:

HAVERSTRAW, New York (AP) -- A man fighting with his girlfriend clung to a car roof and punched her through the window as she drove more than a mile on a busy road, hitting several other cars, police said.

Both were hurt in the brawl Saturday and were arrested, police Sgt. Manfredo Figueroa said.

The man, William Kremer, apparently jumped onto the car and held on as girlfriend Stacey Sperrazza wove along Route 202 with the car's air bag inflated, police said. She eventually stopped the car and hit him with it, police said.

Sperrazza, 37, of Stony Point, was arrested on a felony charge of reckless endangerment. Kremer, 42, of Haverstraw, was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge.

No telephone numbers could be found for the two. Police had no immediate information early Sunday on whether they had lawyers.

He was treated for a foot injury, she for eye and head wounds, police said.

EVERYTHING IS FINE.

Glover's weirdness comes into full bloom! An eloquent, if bizarre, otherwordly vision with a pronounced sense of the strange! - Variety

It Is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE goes into uncharted cinematic territory with screenwriter Steven C. Stewart starring in this semi-autobiographical, psycho-sexual, tale about a man with severe cerebral palsy and a fetish for girls with long hair. Part horror film, part exploitation picture and part documentary of a man who cannot express his sexuality in the way he desires, (due to his physical condition), this fantastical and often humorous tale is told completely from Stewartís actual point of view ñ that of someone who has lived for years watching people do things he will never be able to do. Here, Stewartís character is something of a lady killer, seducing a troubled, recently divorced mother (Margit Carstensen), her teenage daughter and any number of other ladies he encounters along the way. According to Crispin Glover, Stewart "wanted to show that handicapped people are human, sexual and can be horrible. He also states that ìIt is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE. will probably be the best film he has anything to do with in his entire career. Crispin Glover and his co-director David Brothers wanted to bring Stewartís story to the screen

No one under eighteen years of age will be allowed to the screenings and recording devices are strictly forbidden.
